What Muah AI is

Muah AI is an adult-oriented AI companion service operated by USWX Inc in California. It launched in April 2023, originally under the name AI RPG, and is marketed as an uncensored girlfriend or boyfriend chat with photos, voice messages and, on the top tier, live phone calls. It runs on the web and has native iOS and Android apps.

Features

Chat

Users pick from a large community library of characters or build their own, with nine female voice options at creation. Reviewers describe the chat as unfiltered when it works, but also report identity confusion (a character named Lisa calling herself Emily), crashes, and occasional refusals of even mild flirtation. Character customisation is reported to be locked until the account reaches level 10.

Media

Photos are requested in-chat by asking the companion for a picture; quality scales from basic on the free tier to 4K on UHD VIP. There is no gallery, so images are lost if the chat crashes. A Photo X-Ray feature is included from VIP. Video generation exists but only on ULTRA VIP, created by clicking an image and choosing Create Video; testers called the output clearly AI-generated with unnatural motion.

Voice

Voice messages are available on every tier with higher quotas on paid plans (3x on VIP, 10x on UHD and ULTRA). Live phone calls are the distinctive feature and are limited to ULTRA VIP and to US users. Reviewers found the voice clear but with a robotic edge and little emotional range.

Memory

The tiers advertise standard, expanded and maximum memory, with UHD VIP described as 800% smarter. No message or token counts are published and there is no editable memory panel.

Pricing

Reviews in 2026 report four tiers: Free, VIP at $19.99 per month or $69.99 per year, UHD VIP at $49.99 per month or $499 per year, and ULTRA VIP at $99.99 per month or $999 per year. Older listings show VIP at $9.99 per month, so the entry price appears to have risen. VIP unlocks unlimited messages and photos and multi-chat; UHD adds better image quality and memory; ULTRA adds video, phone calls and the longest responses. Sources disagree on whether a separate token balance exists for media on paid plans; at least one reviewer says everything is bundled with no per-use charges, another describes token packs. The free tier is usable indefinitely with limited daily messages, basic image quality and advertisements. Payment by card, PayPal and crypto is accepted and the bank descriptor is discreet.

Content policy

The service is marketed as NSFW and uncensored for adults. The published terms could not be retrieved for this review, so the precise list of prohibited content is unverified; testers found in-chat blocking that contradicts the marketing, and the Australian eSafety Commissioner has flagged the service. In September 2024 the service suffered a data breach, recorded by Have I Been Pwned, in which around 1.9 million email addresses and user prompts were exposed; the operator attributed it to a targeted attack.

Who it is for

Muah AI is for price-sensitive adults who want uncensored roleplay with photos and are prepared to tolerate an unpolished app. Anyone who cares about phone calls should budget for ULTRA VIP; anyone who cares about privacy should register with a dedicated email and read the breach history first.
