Sakura AI, at sakura.fm, is a character-chat platform in the Character.AI mould: thousands of user-created bots sorted by tag (anime, games, films, personality types), a creator tool, creator profiles with followers and a Discord community. The operator is Sakura AI, LLC of Jacksonville, Florida. It is available on the web and as native iOS and Android apps, with more than 21,000 App Store ratings averaging 4.8.
Features
Roleplay chat is the whole product. Paid tiers switch to the ‘Dragonfruit’ model, which reviewers find better at describing scenes and emotions, and add ‘Fusion Mode’. Memory is tiered: Diamond gets standard memory and Infinite gets ‘Infinite Memory’, which held up in single long chats during testing but is not a reliable diary. Voice is present and rated as clear but not especially human. Image generation (‘Ultra-Immersive Images’) is an Infinite-only bonus and is not competitive with image-first apps. There is no video.
