Verdict

A large uncensored character library with decent roleplay writing, but pricing is hidden behind login, media runs on coins on top of the subscription, and video is a pre-made beta.

What works

Big community character library, most of it explicitly adult Roleplay writing is consistent and characters hold their persona Premium tier already unlocks NSFW, image generation and 5,000 messages a month Refund window exists in the terms (24 hours, fewer than 10 messages used)

What holds it back

Pricing is not on a public page; reviewers in 2026 quote both $12/$30/$42 and $15/$35/$50 per month Images (6 coins), voice (2 coins per short block) and video (20 coins) draw down a coin balance on every tier Video is a beta limited to pre-made prompts, 5-second clips on Premium and 10-second on Deluxe

What GirlfriendGPT is

GirlfriendGPT is a web-based character chat platform operated by NextDay AI Incorporated of Montreal, with related entities in Delaware and Cyprus. The girlfriendgpt.com address redirects to gptgirlfriend.online, which is where the product actually lives. It markets itself as an ‘NSFW AI chatbot with no filter’ and is built around a community library of user-made characters rather than a single companion. Chat, image generation, voice messages and a beta video feature are all present, with the media side paid for in coins. Public reviews place the launch in 2023; the site itself does not state a date.

Features

Chat is the core. Characters carry a personality, backstory and scenario, and paid tiers route conversations through ‘premium’ or ‘next-gen’ models. Independent testers describe the writing as consistent and reasonably witty, with characters staying in role over long sessions. Free accounts get a shared chat with community characters; custom character creation is a paid feature.

Memory is expressed as a context window: 8K on Deluxe and 16K on Elite, with ‘advanced memory’ listed on Elite. There is no user-editable memory panel that we could verify, so recall depends on the window rather than on stored facts.

Images are generated in chat or from a separate generator at 6 coins each. Voice uses a set of preset female voices (reviewers count 16) and is charged at 2 coins per short block of text. Video is a beta that works from pre-made prompts only, producing 5-second clips on Premium, 10-second clips on Deluxe and a ‘Pro’ model on Elite, at 20 coins per clip.

Pricing

There is no public pricing page; the /pricing route returns a 404 and plans are shown after sign-up. Reviews from August 2026 report Premium at $12 a month, Deluxe at $30 and Elite at $42, with annual billing bringing them to roughly $9.58, $20.83 and $27.50 a month. Earlier 2026 reviews quote $15, $35 and $50 monthly instead, so treat the figures as indicative. Premium includes 5,000 messages and 400 coins a month, Deluxe 20,000 messages and 1,200 coins, Elite ‘unlimited’ messages and 2,000 coins. Coin packs sell at $10 for 300, $25 for 840 and $50 for 2,000. At 6 coins an image, Premium’s monthly allowance covers about 66 images and nothing else; a heavy image or video user will be buying packs.

The free tier is a real one, reported at around 20 messages a day, SFW only, with no image generation or voice.

Content policy

The homepage promises ‘unrestricted’ fantasies with ‘no restrictions or timeouts’, and adult roleplay is clearly allowed once on a paid tier. The terms of service require users to be 18 and prohibit realistic depictions of extreme violence, gore or illegal acts. The gap is between the ‘no filter’ marketing and the actual prohibited list, which we could only read through search snippets because the terms page was not reachable during research. The refund clause is unusually specific: refunds are only considered within 24 hours of payment and only if fewer than 10 messages have been used.

Who it is for

People who want a wide choice of explicitly adult characters and are happy to pay a subscription for chat while topping up coins for the occasional image. It is a poor fit for anyone who wants transparent pricing before signing up, a native mobile app, or video generation beyond a few pre-set clips.

Research basis: desk research from the official site and public user reports, September 2026.

How to cancel GirlfriendGPT

GirlfriendGPT is web only, so cancellation is done in the browser at gptgirlfriend.online.

  1. Log in and open your account menu.

  2. Go to Settings, then the Subscription or Manage Subscription section.

  3. Choose Cancel and confirm; access continues until the end of the paid period.

Do this at least a day before the renewal date. The terms allow a refund request only within 24 hours of payment and only if you have used fewer than 10 messages; otherwise payments are non-refundable. Support is at support@gptgirlfriend.online or on the Discord. The ‘Girlfriend GPT’ app on the App Store is published by a different company and is not this service.
