Verdict
A weeks-old browser roleplay app with long character cards, a clear explicit-content mode and cheap, published media rates. The operator, Stellar pricing and refund rule are now confirmed; the model and memory system are still undocumented, and the discount badge is measured against a price nobody pays.

What works
Media rates are published before you pay: 5 Stardust per image, 50 per video, 1 per Stellar reply, 1,000 a month on every plan, and Stardust never expires Community guidelines spell out exactly what Spicy mode allows and bans, and marketing matches them Character creator with realistic and anime lines, negative prompts, staged progression and a reviewed public directory Fiction-first format with men and women characters; explicit content is not filtered by an app store because it is web only
What holds it back
Language model and memory system are undisclosed; the operator (Celestial Labs Inc) is named only on the support page, not in the terms Free tier is a one-off 50 Stardust and capped text; the “Save 67%” badge compares against a $29.99 price that is never charged Launched September 2026 with no reviews, no app, no voice or video calls and a Discord of under fifty members
What VenusX is
VenusX is a browser-based roleplay and companion app that describes itself as “the home of AI Romantasy”. You pick a character (the site calls them Venusians), read an opening scene and write your side of the story in dialogue or actions while the AI plays the character. From the chat you can generate a photo of the character and, with a “Bring to Life” button, turn that photo into a short video. It is new: the domain was registered in May 2026, the terms of service took effect on 10 September 2026, the privacy policy on 19 September and the community guidelines on 22 September. The operator is Celestial Labs Inc of New York, named on the support page and confirmed to Radar by the company in October 2026; the terms, privacy policy and about page still refer only to “VenusX”, give a single contact address (general@venusx.ai), choose Delaware law for disputes and say card charges appear as “VX DIGITAL”. The public character directory listed around 120 characters in October 2026, a mix of women and men, realistic and anime, with creator handles on each card, and the official Discord server had under fifty members. Treat this as a profile of a launch-stage product.
Chat and roleplay
The format is interactive fiction rather than a text-message girlfriend. Each Venusian has a card description, a scene, a first message, optional suggested replies, a “Voice and Mannerisms” field and extra details, and creators can switch on “progression” with named stages so the character opens up over time. The public cards are long, written in a novelistic register, with dark-romance, office, royal-court and campus set-ups, and many are explicitly aimed at readers of romance fiction. The site says you do not need roleplay experience and that a sentence is enough to start.
Two content modes apply to every chat. “Flirty” is the default and keeps things suggestive without nudity or sex acts. “Spicy · 18+” allows explicit fictional content for adults and can be switched on at any time. The guidelines are unusually specific about where the model will stop or redirect a scene, which matters for roleplayers: genuine non-consent, incapacitation, visible distress, graphic violence, blood, incest (step-family is allowed), real people, copyrighted characters, drugs, and even alcohol and tobacco are off the table in both modes. A character that keeps being pushed past those lines will break the scene, and repeated attempts can lead to a ban. VenusX does not name its language model. Subscriptions include unlimited “Planetary” text replies; a second class of reply called “Stellar” costs Stardust credits, which the site describes as its “super intelligence” option but never defines in terms of model, length or price per reply. No independent reviews of conversation quality existed in October 2026.
Memory
Memory is not documented. The about page, support page, terms and creation guide do not describe how much of a conversation the model retains or whether anything persists between chats. The only mention is a promotional banner for a “Pro plan” that lists “Permanent memory” and “Super extended usage” among its features, shown as a 24-hour gift to new accounts; that plan has no price on the plans page and it is unclear whether it can be bought. Until VenusX publishes context sizes or a memory feature, assume short-term context only, with the long character card doing most of the work of consistency. The creation guide hints at this when it advises that a layered character “holds together in a long scene, for the player and for the model”.
Models and technology
VenusX names no language, image or video model. The privacy policy says replies, images and video are generated by third-party “AI service and media-processing providers” that do not use prompts or responses to train their models, and that other vendors handle hosting, authentication, analytics, email, fraud prevention and moderation. Image generation offers a Realistic and an Anime line, a “custom art style” field, a 30,000-character prompt box with a negative-prompt option, and “Simple” or “Advanced” prompt modes, which is more control than most companion apps expose. Video is image-to-video from a generated still. The site runs in any browser on phone or desktop; there is no native app and no app-store listing.
Images, video and voice
Images cost 5 Stardust each and videos 50, according to the about page. Each paid plan adds 1,000 Stardust a month, which the plans page translates as “200 images, 20 videos, 250K characters of audio messages”, so the three media types draw on one pool and you choose the mix. Audio messages are text-to-speech replies measured in characters; there are no voice or video calls. The character cards carry video counts (one card showed “Video 172”), which suggests clips are generated often, but no clip length, resolution or engine is published and no third party had reviewed output quality by October 2026. Image prompts are subject to the same guideline bans as chat, and the complaints page commits to removing content depicting a real person or a minor.
Beyond chat: what else it does
The character creator is the most developed secondary feature. It walks through body type (man or woman), realistic or anime style, ethnicity, skin tone, body, hair and eyes, name, age and height, an image-generation step, then a story step with starter scenes or your own writing and optional progression stages. Characters can stay private or be submitted for review; approved ones appear in Explore under the creator’s handle. A separate creation guide gives craft advice (pacing, internal conflict, trigger warnings for dark themes) and says dark stories are welcome within the rules. “Pets” are small animated mascots (Goldie, Devil, Angel, Violet, Brownie) that sit on the interface; all are included on paid plans. There is a 40% recurring affiliate programme and a Discord. There is no feed of user-generated media, no group chat and no API.
The free tier, honestly
There is a “limited guest chat” before sign-up and 50 free Stardust on registration, with no card required. Fifty Stardust is ten images, or one video, or some number of Stellar replies, and it does not renew. The home page shows a “Usage remaining” meter for free text, so Planetary chat on a free account is capped at an undisclosed amount. In practice the free tier is a demo: enough to read a few scenes and see one or two images, not enough to use the product for a week. There is no trial of the paid plan beyond the 24-hour “Pro plan” gift described above.
Platforms and apps
Web only. VenusX works in a mobile or desktop browser and requires an internet connection. There is no iOS or Android app, nothing in either store under the VenusX name, and no desktop client. The site is in English only. Because it is a browser product, the Spicy mode and explicit image generation are not subject to app-store filtering, which is one practical advantage over store-distributed rivals.
Facts confirmed by the operator on 14 October 2026: operating company, Stardust expiry, the Stellar reply rate and the refund rule were confirmed in writing by VenusX (Celestial Labs Inc) and checked against the support page. Confirmation changes the facts, not the score.
Support, cancellation and refunds
Support is by email (general@venusx.ai) or a form on the support page, which asks you to include the charge date and amount for billing questions and never full card details. Subscriptions renew automatically at the disclosed interval; you cancel in Settings, renewals stop and access continues to the end of the paid period. Deleting the account also cancels any subscription, but deletion itself requires an email from the account’s address. Refunds are “assessed individually” on request, with a note that mandatory consumer rights are not limited. One-time Stardust purchases do not renew, and the company confirms that Stardust does not expire; whether unused Stardust is refundable follows the case-by-case rule. The complaints page promises a reply to content complaints and appeals within seven business days and offers referral to a neutral third party for disputes with a depicted person.
Who it is for
VenusX suits readers of romance and dark-romance fiction who want to step into a scene, roleplayers who like long, carefully written character cards with staged progression, and creators who want a reviewed, curated directory rather than an open feed. The rules suit people who want explicit adult content without the unmoderated edges of open roleplay sites; they will frustrate anyone who wants horror, violence or taboo themes. It is not for people who want voice calls, a mobile app, a documented memory system or an operator with a public record. The pricing is plain and the Stardust maths are published, the company is now named, but the “save 67%” badge compares the annual plan with a $29.99 price nobody pays, and the product is weeks old. Wait for a few months of history before committing to the annual plan.
Research basis: desk research from the official site, help centre, terms and public user reports, October 2026.
Plan | Price | Billing | What it includes | Gated behind credits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Free | $0 | None; no card | Limited guest chat before sign-up, then 50 Stardust once (about 10 images or 1 video), a capped amount of Planetary text and the Flirty or Spicy mode toggle | Everything beyond the 50 Stardust: Stellar replies, further images, video and audio messages |
Monthly | $12.99/month | Auto-renews monthly; appears as VX DIGITAL | Unlimited Planetary text messages, all Pets, 1,000 Stardust a month (200 images or 20 videos or 250,000 characters of audio, or a mix) | Stellar replies and any media beyond the monthly 1,000 Stardust |
Annual | $9.99/month, billed $119.88/year | Auto-renews yearly | Same as Monthly; the page shows a struck-through $29.99 and a “Save 67%” badge | As Monthly |
Pro plan (promotional) | Not priced | Shown as a 24-hour gift to new accounts | “Super extended usage”, “Permanent memory”, images and video, more Pets | Unclear whether it can be purchased |
Stardust packs | $1.99 for 200; $9.99 for 1,000; $44.99 for 5,000; $79.99 for 10,000 | One-time; added to your balance | Images at 5 Stardust, videos at 50, Stellar replies at 1 per message (confirmed by the operator); audio rate unpublished | Stardust does not expire (confirmed by the operator); refunds case by case |
The real cost is easy to model because VenusX publishes the two media rates. On the monthly plan, 1,000 Stardust is 200 images at 5 each or 20 videos at 50 each. Someone who generates one video and five images a day uses about 2,300 Stardust a month, so they would add the $9.99 pack twice or the $44.99 pack once, taking a $12.99 subscription to roughly $23 to $35 a month. On the packs, an image costs between 4.5 and 5 cents and a video between 40 and 50 cents, which is cheap by the standards of this category.
The discount badge needs a caveat. The annual plan is $9.99 a month against a monthly plan of $12.99, a saving of about 23%. The “Save 67%” figure is calculated against a struck-through $29.99 that is not offered anywhere. Stellar replies, the premium chat option, have no published price, so text-heavy users cannot estimate what “super intelligence” will cost them until they are inside.
Safety, privacy and content policy
What the terms allow and ban
The terms (effective 10 September 2026, Delaware law) ban exploiting or depicting minors, sexually depicting or impersonating real people, infringement, harassment and scraping, but they do not say whether adult content is allowed. That job is done by the community guidelines (22 September 2026), which are clearer than most in the category: Spicy mode permits explicit consensual fiction between adults, including kink and power play, while banning minors in any framing, genuine non-consent, incapacitation, real people and copyrighted characters, graphic violence, visible distress, incest, bestiality, drugs, prostitution and sacrilegious sexual content. Marketing and guidelines match; the terms simply do not restate the permission.
Age checks
Users must be 18 or over and every character must be an adult. Age is self-declared at sign-up; the terms say VenusX “may ask” users to verify and may suspend access if it cannot. No verification provider or regional regime is named.
Data and privacy
The privacy policy (19 September 2026) names no controller, address or country and cites neither GDPR nor CCPA. Chats, character designs and generated media are stored until you delete them, then kept up to 30 days. AI providers are said not to train on your prompts; analytics providers receive device and usage data. Account deletion is by email.
History
None. The product launched in September 2026 and had no press coverage, store presence or Trustpilot profile in October 2026.
Where marketing and terms disagree
The plans page advertises “Save 67%” against a $29.99 price that is never charged, and a “Pro plan” with permanent memory that has no price. The legal entity, Celestial Labs Inc, appears only on the support page and not in the terms or privacy policy.
How to cancel VenusX
VenusX is web only, so there is one route. Sign in, open Settings, and cancel the subscription; the terms say cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period and stops future renewals, with access continuing until then. If you bought Stardust packs, they are one-time purchases and do not renew. To close the account entirely, email general@venusx.ai from the account’s address; deleting the account also cancels any subscription, and deleted chats are retained for up to 30 days before permanent removal. Refunds are not automatic: email the same address with the charge date and amount and the request is assessed individually. Because the site names no legal entity, a card dispute would be with the merchant shown as “VX DIGITAL”.
Questions people ask
Is VenusX free?
Partly. You can try a limited guest chat without signing up, and a new account gets 50 Stardust once, enough for about ten images or one video. Free text chat is capped. There is no ongoing free allowance; paid plans start at $12.99 a month.
How much does VenusX cost?
$12.99 a month or $119.88 a year ($9.99 a month). Both include unlimited standard text replies and 1,000 Stardust a month. Extra Stardust costs $1.99 for 200 up to $79.99 for 10,000.
What is Stardust on VenusX?
The site’s credit. An image costs 5 Stardust and a video 50. “Stellar” premium chat replies and audio messages also use Stardust, at rates the site does not publish.
Does VenusX allow NSFW?
Yes, in “Spicy · 18+” mode, which allows explicit fictional content between adult characters. The default “Flirty” mode is suggestive only. The guidelines ban minors, non-consent, real people, graphic violence and several other themes in both modes.
Does VenusX have an app?
No. VenusX runs in a web browser on phones and computers. There is no iOS or Android app.
Who owns VenusX?
Celestial Labs Inc, New York, United States, as stated on the support page and confirmed to Radar in October 2026. The terms and privacy policy still name only “VenusX”, with Delaware law for disputes and “VX DIGITAL” as the card descriptor. The domain was registered in May 2026.
What is VenusX’s refund policy?
Refunds are considered case by case on request to general@venusx.ai. Cancelling stops the next renewal and keeps access to the end of the paid period. Unused Stardust does not expire; whether it is refundable follows the same case-by-case rule.
Does VenusX have memory?
Nothing is documented. A promotional “Pro plan” banner lists “Permanent memory”, but that plan has no price and no description. Assume short-term context only.
Is VenusX down right now?
Live result from our monitor, which loads the public homepage every 15 minutes from a server in Europe. If the site is up but the app misbehaves after login, that is an in-app problem the check cannot see.

MyBabes
8.3
The broadest creative toolkit in the category: eight named video engines with published per-second prices, two image model lines, a story studio, AI-refereed roleplay games and a creator paywall. Browser only, no voice calls, and the token maths take a minute.

SpicyChat
6.6
An uncensored, community-driven roleplay platform with a genuinely usable free tier, transparent pricing and a strong model line-up. Short replies, small context on cheaper tiers, no iOS app and regional age checks are the trade-offs.

CrushOn AI
4.6
A large ‘unfiltered’ character-chat site whose paperwork does not match its pitch: terms that ban sexual content, an unreachable pricing page, credit-burning premium models, no refunds and no app. Capable chat, poor transparency.
