What Secrets AI is

Secrets AI is an adult AI companion platform run by Secret Labs Inc., a company registered in Dover, Delaware, and launched in 2024. It combines text roleplay with a library of ready-made realistic and anime companions, user-made characters, image and video generation, voice calls, group chats and an editable memory system called Lorebooks. Its terms say plainly that it is an adult service: users must be 18 or over and agree to view AI-generated depictions of nudity and sexual activity. What sets it apart from most adult companion sites is its documentation. A public wiki explains every tier, chat model, memory multiplier and media cost, and a changelog shows releases every few days (version 7.15.0 shipped on 6 October 2026). The trade-off is that almost everything beyond chat is paid for in “Moments”, its in-app currency, and some marketing claims go further than the legal documents.

Chat and roleplay

Chat is the core of the product. Each conversation has a chat mode, a thinking level, a Spice Level and a reply format. The chat modes are in-house labels: S3 (the standard model, formerly S3.5) and the experimental X-3 on every plan, S5 on Premium and Ultimate, and S4, described as a faster alternative to S3, on Ultimate only. Thinking can be set to Off, Low or High, with Max reserved for Ultimate. Spice Level (Mild, Medium or Spicy) replaced an older content-mode switch and controls how romantic or explicit a chat becomes; it now also applies to voice calls. You can choose short text-message style replies or longer paragraphs, steer the story with out-of-character commands, rewind with Time Travel, and run several chats with the same companion.

Ultimate adds group chats with two or three companions, personas (switchable identities for you, now with generated persona photos), custom personality editing, proactive messages from companions after you have been away, and replies up to 2,000 characters. Free users are capped at 500 characters a message. User reports are mostly positive about conversation quality: Trustpilot shows 4.5 from 255 reviews, as reported in October 2026, with praise for realistic, engaging roleplay. A September 2026 review noted that long sessions can turn repetitive, and the changelog shows recent fixes for normal replies being wrongly blocked by moderation and for chats locking up.

Memory

Secrets AI documents memory more thoroughly than most of its adult rivals, though in relative terms rather than absolute ones. Every plan has an automatic memory list that saves facts you share, ranked High, Medium or Low, and a “Smart Mode” assistant that searches past memories and conversations before each reply. Compared with Free, Premium gets 60% more short-term context, four times as many memories accessed per conversation and about 67% more recall of earlier conversation summaries; Ultimate doubles the context and recall and gets six times the memory access. No token or character counts are published, so you cannot compare these figures directly with Kindroid’s.

Premium and Ultimate also get Lorebooks: editable books per companion with sections for cast, world, relationship, facts, a chronicle of events and open threads, which the companion can add to and you can review, pin or lock. “Universe” books, added on 28 September 2026, hold reusable settings that can be exported and imported. The changelog shows teething problems: lorebook saves failing in the S3 and S4 modes, and Max thinking temporarily disabled on 30 September while that was fixed.

Models and technology

Secrets AI does not name the third-party models, if any, behind its S3, S4, S5 and X-3 chat modes, its image engines or its voice. The terms call the technology “proprietary”. The wiki says the Advanced image mode moved to “a new, far more capable image model” in July 2026, and that voice chat moved to a new model on 28 September 2026. Content safety runs as a separate checker on prompts, reference images and finished outputs.

Images, video and voice

Images come in two modes. Premium mode takes comma-separated tags; Advanced mode takes natural scene descriptions of up to 2,000 characters, uses up to five reference photos from your gallery, and renders at 1K, 1.5K or 2K, with 4K listed as coming soon. A standard image costs 50 Moments, 2K costs 100, and each extra reference photo adds 10. Presets for outfits, actions and scenes work only for female companions. Video has three engines: Standard (480p to 1080p), Advanced (Fast up to 720p, Quality up to 4K, 4 to 15 seconds, audio always on) and a separate Adult engine that makes 8-second, 720p clips without sound for 600 Moments. Standard and Advanced prices vary and are shown on the Generate button before you confirm.

Prompts are blocked before generation for signs of underage content, a real person’s likeness, non-consensual activity and similar categories, and reference photos that appear to show a real person are rejected; nothing is charged when that happens, and failed generations are refunded automatically. Voice calls cost 50 Moments a minute, support more than 70 languages, and since 28 September 2026 custom characters can use 148 voices instead of 12. The privacy policy says call audio is transcribed and deleted immediately; only the text is kept.

Beyond chat: what else it does

Users can build their own companions in a Character Studio (the first is free, then 500 Moments each), publish them, and fork other people’s public characters for 600 Moments, of which the creator receives 300. Since 1 October 2026 creators can update published characters through a reviewed draft process. Paid users can buy companion “bundles” of extra photos and videos. A “Shorts” section for mini-dramas starring companions is promoted on the homepage but was empty when checked. There is also an affiliate programme and a Discord server.

The free tier, honestly

Secrets AI has a real, lasting free tier: 20 messages a day, reset daily, on the S3 and X-3 modes with basic memory and access to every companion. The cap is tied to your device, so extra accounts do not reset it. A third-party listing mentions 200 bonus Moments at sign-up and the wiki gives 25 Moments for enabling notifications, but free accounts cannot buy Moments, and images, video, calls and custom characters all require a subscription in practice. It is a fair way to judge the chat; it is not a way to judge the media.

Platforms and apps

Secrets AI runs in the browser and can be installed as a web app on iPhone (through Safari, iOS 16.4 or later for notifications), Android and desktop. The wiki says it is not on the App Store or Google Play and that any store listing using the name is not affiliated. That contradicts an August 2025 press release that announced native iOS and Android apps; as of October 2026 the browser install is described as the only official app.

Support, cancellation and refunds

Support runs through an on-site support agent, email and Discord, with an initial reply promised within three business days for refund requests. Cancellation is self-serve from the Subscription page, and access continues to the end of the paid period; a September 2026 review described the flow as seven steps with retention prompts and a countdown on the final button. Payments are generally non-refundable. Billing errors reported within 30 days are corrected, EU and UK users have a 14-day withdrawal right on a first purchase (reduced pro rata if premium features were used), broken image generations can be refunded in Moments, and anything paid in crypto is non-refundable under any circumstances. Charges appear on statements as “S LABS INC”.

Who it is for

Secrets AI suits adults who want explicit text roleplay with unusually well-documented controls, real memory tools and optional media, and who will read a wiki to get the most from it. The free tier makes it easy to test the chat first. It is less suited to anyone who wants lots of images or video without a running Moments bill, a native store app, or flexible refunds. If privacy is the reason you are choosing it, rely on the privacy policy rather than the homepage’s encryption claim.
