Verdict
A small, explicit, browser-only video-chat companion from a German operator that names its vendors and publishes credit rates. The video loop is the draw; conversation depth, memory and the membership’s credit allowance are undocumented.

What works
Video chat with AI voice, lip sync and action buttons, in the browser, in fourteen interface languages Named operator with address and VAT ID, named AI and payment vendors, EU hosting, chats not used for training Per-item credit costs (5 per image, 20 per video) and all membership prices shown before sign-up; EU 14-day withdrawal honoured C2PA provenance marking on generated media and no user uploads, so real people cannot be inserted
What holds it back
Memory, conversation quality and the membership’s monthly credit allowance are not documented; about 22 catalogue characters Credits expire after a year and are non-refundable; no refunds for unused time; retention offer on cancellation Terms never define adult-content rules while the site markets sexting, striptease and “AI porn”; no app and no voice outside the video loop
What Xeve.ai is
Xeve.ai is a browser-based adult companion platform whose selling point is “live AI video chat”: you type to a character and she answers on screen, in video, with speech, lip sync, gestures and a catalogue of actions you can request. Around that core sit text chat, a credit-based image and video generator, a custom character builder and a public feed of generated media. It is run by Jay Web Development & Services of Olching, near Munich, Germany (VAT ID DE452091141), which is named in the legal notice, the terms and the privacy policy. The domain was registered on 26 August 2024 and the site was live by that month; early listings describe a $5 Patreon tier, which has since been replaced by memberships and credits. Xeve is explicit about what it is. The navigation includes “AI sexting”, “AI striptease” and “AI porn” landing pages, the home page states that “Media is AI generated”, and the whole service is 18+ with identity checks through a third-party provider when a payment processor or a law requires them. It is small: the English character index listed about 22 characters in October 2026, and the Trustpilot profile had 13 reviews.
Chat and roleplay
Text chat is included with every plan and uses no credits. Characters come with short personas (a “broke university girl”, a “flirty sales girl”, a personal trainer) and the site frames interactions as flirting, roleplay and sexting rather than long-form story. The replies are generated by open-model hosts: the privacy policy names Together AI and DeepInfra for reply generation and moderation, OpenAI for quality-rating samples and ElevenLabs for the characters’ voices, which is more disclosure than most rivals offer, though the models themselves are not named. The free tier lets you chat with a character before registering; “longer conversations, enhanced interactions and premium experiences” need a membership. There is no documentation of message length, context size or style controls, and the only public feedback is a handful of Trustpilot reviews that call the chat fun but “not perfect” and say the AI “could be a bit better”. Expect competent flirtation rather than the character depth of apps built around writing.
Memory
Memory is not a documented feature. The marketing page for video chat says the character “remembers the conversation”, and two of the site’s fifty generic SEO blog posts discuss memory in the abstract, but the documentation hub has no memory article and neither the terms nor the FAQ describes persistence, capacity or user controls. What is documented is the opposite end: chat sessions are deleted twelve months after the last message, and anonymous sessions are tied to a random browser identifier rather than an account. Treat Xeve as session-level context with no long-term recall you can inspect or edit.
Models and technology
Xeve names its vendors rather than its models. Replies come from Together AI and DeepInfra, voices from ElevenLabs, image and video generation from AtlasCloud, authentication from Firebase, payments from CCBill and CentroBill, age checks from Didit, hosting on Google Cloud in Belgium with media delivered through bunny.net in the EU. The video chat itself is not a generated avatar in the usual sense. The site says its catalogue mixes AI-generated characters with “characters based on video material of human models” whose clips were “recorded in advance”, and that “nothing is streamed live”: the “live” experience is an interaction loop that plays the right clip with an AI voice and lip sync in response to your messages and action buttons. Speech input uses your browser’s own recognition (Chrome or Safari) and only the recognised text is stored. Generated files are tagged with C2PA Content Credentials when stored, on a best-effort basis. There is no app; the site runs in desktop and mobile browsers in fourteen interface languages.
Images, video and voice
The generator has separate image and video flows. An image costs 5 credits and a video 20, with 5-second “standard” and 10-second “extended” lengths and longer clips costing more. You cannot upload photos; generation starts from the site’s own characters, reference images or structured choices (hairstyle, clothing, nine locations, 23 actions, camera movement, tempo, emotion and five visual styles from photorealistic to anime-like). A first image is free after registration. Credits come in packs from $4.99, with $22.99 buying 500, so an image is about 4.6 cents and a 5-second video about 92 cents at that rate; memberships include a monthly allowance that the site does not quantify. Each catalogue character has a gallery of roughly twenty photos and a few short clips; the everyday ones are free to browse, “sexy” ones open with a membership and explicit ones unlock one at a time with credits. Voice is output only, through ElevenLabs, inside the video chat; there are no voice calls as such and no voice messages in text chat.
Beyond chat: what else it does
The custom character builder walks through origin, personality, age, look, relationship style, voice, work, hobbies, kink, a special action and a name, and the app checks your subscription state before allowing additional characters; the number allowed per plan is not published. Custom character and action requests can also be commissioned as one-time, non-refundable purchases. There is a public Feed of user-generated media, per-character subscriptions alongside the all-access membership, a “live AI stripper show” route, an affiliate programme and a partners page. The documentation hub is unusual for the category: fourteen plain-language articles on pricing, refunds, retention, age checks and provenance, written carefully enough to say what they do not cover. The blog, by contrast, is fifty keyword pages, some of them unrelated to the product.
The free tier, honestly
You can browse every character page and gallery and start a chat without an account, and a registered account gets one free image. The site says “most users start their first AI girlfriend video call free”, but publishes no minutes, message count or action limits, and the documentation says only that premium video actions and generation flows need a membership or credits. In practice the free tier is a demonstration of the video loop and the writing, long enough to decide whether the format appeals, with no ongoing allowance. There is no trial of a membership and no free credit top-up.
Platforms and apps
Web only. Xeve runs in a browser on desktop and mobile; the FAQ says there is “no app-store download or installation” and none is planned in public material. Because the video chat uses the browser’s speech recognition, voice input depends on Chrome or Safari. The interface is offered in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Turkish, Arabic, Hebrew, Japanese, Chinese, Indonesian and Vietnamese, and prices are shown in euros in the EU and pounds in the UK, with the dollar prices in this review applying elsewhere.
Support, cancellation and refunds
Support is by email (support@xeve.ai) or a contact form; a separate youth-protection officer is listed under German law for minors-related reports, and the complaints page commits to acting on illegal-content reports within 24 hours and resolving other complaints within five business days, with appeals reviewed by someone not involved in the original decision. Card memberships renew automatically; one-time 30, 90 or 365-day passes and crypto or voucher payments never renew. Cancellation is self-serve under My Membership, with a retention offer on the way out, and access runs to the end of the paid period. No refunds or pro-rating for unused time, credits are non-refundable and expire a year after purchase, and custom requests are final; EU consumers have the statutory 14-day withdrawal right, with a “Withdraw contract” button in the footer. Card statements show “CUR*Jay Web Developm.” or “CCBill.com *xeve.ai”.
Who it is for
Xeve suits adults who want the novelty of a character answering on video with a voice, in a browser, from a company that publishes its name, address, vendors and data retention, and who are comfortable with an ID check if their payment route demands one. It is cheap at the yearly rate and the per-item credit costs are printed before you pay. It is not for people who want deep roleplay writing, documented memory, a mobile app, voice calls outside the video loop, or a large character roster; it is also not for anyone who wants adult-content rules spelled out in the terms, because they are not. The honest summary is a transparent small German operator running a narrow, explicit video-chat product that has not yet proved its conversation or generation quality in public.
Research basis: desk research from the official site, help centre, terms and public user reports, October 2026.
Plan | Price | Billing | What it includes | Gated behind credits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Free | $0 | None; no card | Browse characters and galleries, start a chat without an account, a short video-chat demo, one free image after registration | Premium video actions, longer sessions, explicit gallery items and all further generation |
Membership, monthly | $12.99/month | Auto-renews; CCBill or CentroBill | All-access chat and video interaction, wider action sets, “sexy” gallery content, a monthly credit allowance of unstated size, custom characters up to an unstated limit | Images (5 credits) and videos (20 credits) beyond the allowance; explicit gallery shots unlocked one at a time |
Membership, quarterly | $8.99/month | Auto-renews quarterly | As monthly | As monthly |
Membership, yearly | $7.09/month (about $85/year) | Auto-renews yearly | As monthly | As monthly |
One-time passes | Not published; 30, 90 or 365 days, plus a lifetime option “where offered” | Never renew; crypto, vouchers and regional methods are one-time only | Membership access for the period; lifetime members returning after a break get at most the last two months of credits | As monthly |
Credit packs | From $4.99; $22.99 for 500 credits | One-time; expire after one year | 5 credits per image, 20 per 5-second video, more for 10 seconds | Non-refundable |
At the $22.99 pack, an image costs about 4.6 cents and a standard video about 92 cents, so a member who makes ten images and five videos a week on top of the included allowance would spend roughly 600 credits a month, about $28 in packs, on top of $12.99. Because the monthly allowance is not published, the only way to know what the membership alone buys in media is to subscribe and read the balance.
The yearly price has drifted: the site showed $7.09 a month in October 2026 while a September 2026 review quoted $6.99 and early listings quoted a $5 Patreon tier, so check the checkout figure and the currency (euros in the EU, pounds in the UK). The prices shown here are the standard ones; the docs say promotions and regional prices can differ.
Safety, privacy and content policy
What the terms allow and ban
The terms (last modified 24 September 2026) require users to be over 18, ban promoting trafficking or abuse and any “illegal, abusive, harmful, or deceptive” use of the chatbot, allow the company to refuse custom characters involving minors or anyone who could be read as a minor, and state that generated media “does not depict a real person” because uploads are not accepted. They never say what adult content is permitted or prohibited, even though the site’s own navigation advertises sexting, striptease and “AI porn”, and the “safety and moderation” documentation article is a signpost to other pages rather than a rulebook.
Age checks
Self-declaration by default. When a payment provider or a law requires it, users verify once with an identity document and a selfie processed by Didit; Xeve receives only the result and a reference. Under German law the site lists a named youth-protection officer.
Data and privacy
The privacy policy (10 August 2026) is detailed and GDPR-based: chats, media and logs are stored on Google Cloud in Belgium, chats are not used to train models, sessions are deleted twelve months after the last message, logs after 30 days, and accounts can be deleted self-serve. Vendors are named, from Together AI and DeepInfra to ElevenLabs, AtlasCloud, CCBill, Didit and the Meta Pixel. The policy does not say whether video from the video chat is recorded.
History
No breaches, regulator actions or store removals were found. Trustpilot showed 4.2 from 13 reviews, all four or five stars.
Where marketing and terms disagree
Marketing sells explicit video and “AI porn”; the terms are silent on adult content. The home page says the character “remembers the conversation”; nothing documents memory. The site displays a Trustpilot score of 4.2 or 4.3 depending on the page.
How to cancel Xeve.ai
Xeve.ai is web only. Log in, open My Membership from the left-hand menu, choose Membership Details (or Subscription Details for a per-character subscription), click Cancel Membership or Cancel Subscription, decline or accept the retention offer, and confirm. Access continues to the end of the paid period and no further charges follow; one-time 30, 90 and 365-day passes cannot be cancelled mid-term and simply expire. Cancel before deleting the account, because deletion under My Membership forfeits remaining time. Refunds are not given for unused time and credits are non-refundable, but EU consumers can withdraw within 14 days using the “Withdraw contract” button in the footer or an email, and are reimbursed in full within 14 days. For other cases email support@xeve.ai; charges appear as “CUR*Jay Web Developm.” or “CCBill.com *xeve.ai”.
Questions people ask
Is Xeve.ai free?
Partly. You can browse characters, open galleries and start a chat or a short video session without paying, and a registered account gets one free image. Longer video use, premium actions and generation need a membership (from $7.09 a month yearly) or credits.
How much does Xeve.ai cost?
The all-access membership is $12.99 a month, $8.99 a month quarterly or $7.09 a month yearly, each with an unstated monthly credit allowance. Credit packs start at $4.99; $22.99 buys 500 credits. Images cost 5 credits and videos 20.
How does Xeve.ai video chat work?
The character answers in video with an AI voice, lip sync and gestures. Some characters are AI-generated and a few are filmed with real adult models; the clips are recorded in advance and nothing is streamed live. You type, or speak through your browser’s speech recognition.
Does Xeve.ai allow NSFW?
Yes. The platform is explicitly adult and advertises sexting, striptease and explicit generation. The terms do not define adult-content rules beyond banning minors, abuse and illegal use.
Does Xeve.ai require ID verification?
Only when a payment provider or a law requires it. The check is a document plus selfie handled by Didit; Xeve receives the result, not the documents.
Does Xeve.ai have an app?
No. It runs in desktop and mobile browsers, with no app-store download.
What is Xeve.ai’s refund policy?
No refunds or pro-rating for unused subscription time, and credits are non-refundable and expire after a year. EU consumers can withdraw within 14 days of purchase. Exceptional requests go to support@xeve.ai and are reviewed case by case.
Who owns Xeve.ai?
Jay Web Development & Services, Olching, Germany (VAT ID DE452091141), named in the legal notice, terms and privacy policy.
Is Xeve.ai down right now?
Live result from our monitor, which loads the public homepage every 15 minutes from a server in Europe. If the site is up but the app misbehaves after login, that is an in-app problem the check cannot see.
