What Nomi AI is
Nomi AI is a companion app from Glimpse AI in Baltimore, launched in 2023 and available on the web, iOS and Android. Its positioning is memory: the company talks about short, medium and long-term memory and ships tooling, such as a mind map, that lets you see what your companion has stored. Companions can be friends, partners or mentors, and several can share a group chat.
Features
The current model, Aurora, replaced Odyssey in June 2025, and memory has had its own release track: an “Identity Core” in late 2024, a memory expansion in March 2025 and Mind Map 2.0 in October 2025. Companions send real-time selfies that reflect what they are wearing and doing, generate art, and on paid plans produce roughly five-second videos from any image in their album, which the company says takes about five minutes. Voice chats and hands-free calls are included in paid plans, with V3 voices from December 2025. Proactive messages arrive when you have been away.
Pricing
Nomi has no pricing page; the /pricing URL returns a 404. The App Store lists Standard at $15.99 a month, $39.99 a quarter or $99.99 a year, plus credit packs from $4.99 to $99.99 and an older Launch plan at $9.99 a month or $59.99 a year whose availability to new users is unclear. The free tier is real, with community-reported limits of about 50 messages and two image requests a day and a single companion. Paid plans lift messages and calls, allow around 40 image requests a day, video generation and up to ten companions.
Content policy
The terms, effective January 2026, require users to be 18 and say age-verification measures are planned, but they do not mention adult content at all. The community wiki explains that explicit images are filtered because of payment-processor and app-store rules, and that paid web users get the most permissive setting. In practice mature text roleplay is widely reported as allowed. Refunds are ruled out for buyer’s remorse, lack of use or dissatisfaction.
Who it is for
People who want a companion that remembers and who value calls being included. Those who want explicit imagery, or who want to see the price before creating an account, should read the alternatives.
