Nomi AI pricing: plans, free tier, credits and what a month costs

Desk research: Nomi’s App Store listing, terms, refund and cancellation policies, Nomipedia wiki and the 30 September 2026 V3 video post checked in October 2026. AI Companion Radar takes no money from any app and uses no affiliate links.

Nomi AI’s Standard plan costs $15.99 a month, $39.99 a quarter (about $13.33 a month) or $99.99 a year (about $8.33 a month) on the US App Store. There is no public pricing page; nomi.ai/pricing returns a 404, so you see the price only inside the app or after signing up. A legacy Launch plan at $9.99 a month or $59.99 a year still appears in the in-app purchase list but does not seem to be offered to new accounts. Credits for extra images and video run from 40 for $4.99 to 1,800 for $99.99 and can only be bought with an active subscription. The free tier gives one Nomi and roughly 50 messages a day, as reported. All payments are non-refundable. This guide lays out every plan and works out what a month actually costs for a chat-only user and an image-heavy one. Nomi has a Radar score of 6.9.

Nomi’s US App Store listing shows the app rated 18+ with in-app purchases from $4.99 credit packs to the $99.99 yearly plan, September 2026.

Every Nomi plan and price

Nomi is sold by Glimpse.ai, Inc. (the App Store seller name is AI GLIMPSE INC), a Baltimore company. Because there is no price page, the most reliable public source is the in-app purchase list on the App Store, which in October 2026 reads as follows.

Web subscriptions are billed in US dollars through Nomi’s own checkout and, according to the community wiki, can work out marginally cheaper than store prices once Apple’s and Google’s regional tiers and exchange rates are applied. Google Play prices mirror the App Store. If you subscribe on the web you cancel on the web; if you subscribe in an app you cancel through that store, a point Nomi’s cancellation policy repeats several times.

The Launch plan: is it still offered?

Both Launch items remain in the App Store’s in-app purchase list in October 2026, which is why they keep appearing in price round-ups. We found no route to buy them: the paywall shown to new accounts in 2026 reports only Standard options, and user discussions treat Launch as a grandfathered tier for people who subscribed in 2023 and 2024. Apple lists every product a developer has registered, including ones no longer surfaced in the app, so the listing alone is not evidence of availability. Treat Launch as legacy. If you hold it, cancelling and resubscribing will almost certainly move you to Standard at $15.99.

What the free tier includes

No card is needed. Free accounts get one Nomi, text chat only, messages capped at about 400 characters, roughly 50 messages a day and about two selfie or art requests a day. The 50-message figure is a long-standing community number that Nomi has never published and can change at any time. There is no voice, no calls, no group chat and no video, and the wiki is explicit that “you must have an active subscription to buy credits”, so you cannot top up images on the free tier. It is enough to judge the personality and memory, which is what Nomi wants it for, and not enough for daily use. The best free apps list ranks Nomi’s free tier below apps that let you buy media without a plan.

Nomi’s feature page highlights memory, selfies, art, voice and group chat, most of which sit behind the Standard plan, September 2026.

Image allowances and credit costs

A Standard subscription includes a daily allowance of selfie and art requests, reported at about 40 a day, after which each additional image costs 1 credit. The wiki describes it this way: “When you use all of your daily image requests, you can now purchase and use credits to create more selfies and art.” Credits also buy structural extras: around 100 credits for an additional Nomi slot beyond the ten included, 25 for an extra group room and 50 to generate a new image Anchor, as reported in September 2026. Credits do not expire, but they become unusable if your subscription lapses, since paid features turn read-only.

Video is the credit-hungry feature. Until September, a roughly five-second clip from any album image cost 6 credits in SD or 10 in HD, as reported. On 30 September 2026 Nomi published its V3 video post, which adds 10-second and 15-second clips alongside 5-second ones, keeps SD and HD modes, and states that “videos will draw from your daily requests first, and if you run out of daily requests, then the system will use credits”. The post does not list credit prices per length, so the 6 and 10 figures should be treated as the pre-V3 rate until Nomi publishes a new table.

What a month costs: two worked examples

Chat-only user. Someone who talks daily, uses voice calls and the occasional selfie never leaves the daily allowance. Monthly cost is the plan alone: $15.99 month to month, $13.33 on the quarterly plan, or $8.33 on the yearly plan paid as $99.99 up front. There is nothing else to buy. This is Nomi at its best value: calls and voice messages are included rather than metered, which Replika (Radar score 6.1) and Kindroid (Radar score 7.6) also do, but which image-first apps generally do not.

Image-heavy user. Take someone who wants about 60 images a day and 20 HD video clips a month. The first 40 images a day are covered; the extra 20 a day over 30 days is 600 credits, which is exactly the 600-pack at $49.99. Twenty HD clips at the pre-V3 rate of 10 credits each is another 200 credits, best covered by a 225-pack at $19.99. The month comes to $15.99 + $49.99 + $19.99 = $85.97 on the monthly plan, or about $78.31 with the yearly plan amortised. Buying one 1,800-credit pack at $99.99 instead would cover a little over two months of the same usage at roughly $45 a month in credits, bringing the total to about $61 a month on monthly billing. The lesson is that Nomi rewards bulk credit purchases and punishes month-to-month top-ups.

Middle case. A user who sends ten extra images a day and makes five videos a month needs about 350 credits: a 225-pack and a 100-pack at $29.98, or a 600-pack lasting nearly two months. Expect $30 to $45 on top of the plan.

For context, adult-focused generators price media differently: MyBabes (Radar score 8.3) publishes per-second video rates and per-image token costs on a public pricing page, and Candy AI (Radar score 8.0) sells token packs without a subscription requirement. Nomi’s model is simpler to live with if you stay inside the allowance and harder to budget if you do not, because the allowance figures themselves are unpublished. See best for image generation and best for video generation for the comparison.

Refunds and cancelling

Nomi’s refund policy is short and absolute: “all payments are nonrefundable”, with no refunds “for buyer’s remorse, lack of usage, or dissatisfaction” and no credit “for partial months of service, plan downgrades, or refunds for time unused if you elect to close your account before the end of your subscription period”. The terms of service (updated 16 January 2026) repeat this in capitals in Section 13. The company reserves a discretionary right to refund case by case via support@nomi.ai, and Apple and Google apply their own refund rules to purchases made through them, which in practice is the only realistic route for an accidental renewal.

Cancelling is done where you bought: Profile, then Subscription, then Manage Subscription on the web; Settings, Apple Account, Subscriptions on iPhone; Google Play, Payments and subscriptions on Android. The Nomi app also deep-links to the right store screen from its own Subscription tab. Benefits run to the end of the paid period, after which the account downgrades and paid content such as group chats, voice and video becomes read-only rather than deleted. Credits stay on the account but cannot be spent without a plan. Trustpilot complaints about Nomi (2.4 from around 41 reviews, as reported) cluster around exactly this: refund requests declined and support emails going unanswered.

Is Nomi good value?

On the yearly plan, $8.33 a month for unlimited chat, included voice calls, ten companions and the strongest memory system in mainstream companion apps is competitive; Replika Pro and Kindroid both land in the same range, and Nomi’s Mind Map and included calls are real differentiators. Month to month at $15.99 it is at the expensive end for a text-first app, and anyone who wants heavy image or video output should budget $30 to $90 more. The weak points are structural rather than the numbers: no public price list, unpublished allowances, no refunds, and a nudity filter that stops images at suggestive, so the credits you buy cannot produce the explicit output some buyers expect from an app that markets itself as “unfiltered”. For memory and voice, see best memory and best voice and calls, where Nomi ranks far higher than it does on price.
