A month of Kindroid costs $13.99 if you subscribe on the web, use the text models, keep voice inside the included allowance and let selfie credits accrue. It costs $15.99 through Apple or Google for the same thing, $98.97 with both memory add-ons, and anywhere in between once you buy paid selfie credits or audio top-ups. Kindroid (Radar score 7.4) publishes all of these numbers and recommends the web outright. What it no longer offers, from 1 October 2026, is a free tier: new users get a 50-message preview, then a three-day trial that needs a card, then a read-only account. Below: every price, three worked monthly bills, how to cancel and what the refund wording says.

The full price list
Kindroid sells one subscription, two stacking add-ons and three kinds of one-off purchase. Web prices are lower because processing fees are lower, and the subscription is tied to your login, so a web subscription works in the apps. Prices are in US dollars and may vary by region.

Two mechanics catch people out. The add-ons are a ladder: Ultra needs Standard and MAX needs both, so there is no $59.99 route to the biggest memory. And the ladder is sticky the wrong way: if you cancel Ultra while keeping MAX, you keep paying for MAX but receive Ultra’s service level, with a yellow icon in billing as the only warning. If Standard lapses, the account becomes read-only whatever add-ons remain. The add-ons only appear for accounts with “significant interaction history”, and their context guarantee applies to the latest model only.
The credits, in plain terms
Three meters run alongside the subscription. Audio credits pay for voice messages, calls and video calls at roughly one credit per character, which Kindroid rounds to 1,000 a minute on V2 voices; V3 voices, including the V3 Fast voice new Kindroids default to, cost 1.5 times that. Calls add a flat 400 credits a minute, and Live Avatar Video calls add 2,000 a minute at standard quality or 4,000 at premium. Standard includes one million a month, reset on the first with no rollover; Ultra 2.5 million, MAX 6 million. Paid top-ups are used after the free balance and do carry over.
Selfie credits accrue rather than being bought: one every 30 minutes for subscribers (two on Ultra and MAX) up to a cap Kindroid does not state in numbers, plus daily login rewards. They cover image and group selfies, video selfies (5 for an 8-second V4 clip, 10 for up to 15 seconds) and animating a custom avatar (4). Paid selfie credits are a premium pool that skips the queue delay and makes video selfies for 2 or 4 credits instead of 5 or 10. On the iOS and Android apps a keyword filter applies to image prompts and only the SFW video engine is offered; the web has neither restriction.

Kindroid’s App Store listing prints the in-app prices, which run $2 to $9 above the web, September 2026.
What a month really costs: three users
The text-first companion user chats daily, asks for a few selfies a week and sends the occasional voice message. On the web this is $13.99 a month, or $139.99 a year ($11.67 a month). Voice messages barely dent the million-credit allowance and the accruing selfie pool covers a few images a day with some queueing. Through the app stores the same month is $15.99, or $13.33 on the yearly plan. This is the bill most subscribers will see.
The voice caller talks for about ten hours a month on a V3 voice. Each minute costs about 1,500 credits of speech plus the 400-credit surcharge, so 600 minutes come to roughly 1.14 million credits, about 140,000 over the Standard allowance. The options: one $11.99 top-up ($25.98 for the month, with about 360,000 paid credits carried forward), switching the Kin to a V2 voice, where ten hours cost about 840,000 credits and fit inside the allowance ($13.99), or Ultra for its 2.5 million credits, which at $38.98 is the worst value of the three. An hour of standard video calling adds another 120,000 credits.
The selfie and video maker wants about 200 images a month on demand and ten 15-second video selfies. Paid credits for the images cost $19.98 (two 100-packs) and the clips need 40 paid credits, so a $5.99 50-pack covers them: $39.96 on the web with Standard, or about $44.46 through the apps. A patient user can do most of this for $13.99 by letting standard credits accrue (ten clips cost 100 standard credits) and accepting the queue, so the real range is $13.99 to about $40. The explicit image option exists only on the web.
For comparison, the full memory stack is $98.97 a month on the web with everything above still metered on top. Among rivals, Nomi charges $15.99 a month or $99.99 a year with voice included and one credit type, and MyBabes has a card-free free tier, tokens that never expire and a 24-hour refund window, but no voice calls, no native app, euro-only pricing and a pricing page dressed in countdown “sale” timers, so it is the wrong comparison for a phone-first or voice-first user. The trial and preview after 1 October 2026
Kindroid retired its unlimited free Lite tier on 1 October 2026 and replaced it with a bounded preview. A new account gets 50 messages on the flagship model with paid-tier memory (15 in regions Kindroid associates with account abuse); regenerations, continuations and suggestions count as half a message. It also gets up to five selfies (one at sign-up, then one every two hours), 5,000 audio characters and two Kindroid slots. When the allowances are spent the account is read-only: you can view, export and delete everything but generate nothing, and credits earned or bought earlier are locked while unsubscribed. Existing free users received 50 final messages on 1 October with no new media.
The three-day trial is the next step. It needs a payment method and, on the web, a verified mobile number (subscribing without a trial skips the phone check). It converts automatically unless cancelled, with an email reminder one day before. Audio comes in two parts, 150,000 credits at the start and 850,000 on conversion, and voice used in the trial counts against the first month. Starting a trial ends the preview permanently, and a lapsed trial returns the account to read-only, not to any free mode. Former subscribers may get a one-time returner preview of 50 messages after major upgrades, and daily login rewards now require an active trial or subscription. Apps that still let you try without a card are in best free apps.

Kindroid’s Subscriptions help article, with web and in-app prices and the add-on totals, September 2026.
How to cancel, by platform
Web: Profile, then Billing, then Kindroid Standard Subscription, then Manage. Ultra and MAX have their own entries and must be cancelled separately; cancelling Standard does not stop them.
iOS: Settings, your Apple ID, Subscriptions, Kindroid.
Android: Google Play, Payments and subscriptions, Subscriptions, Kindroid.
Trial: cancel the same way before the three days end, or it converts.
Access continues to the end of the paid period, after which the account becomes read-only with Kindroids, chats, memories and balances preserved; resubscribing restores everything. Changing plans is uneven: the web switches between monthly, quarterly and yearly at once with a prorated charge, iOS applies the change at the next billing date, and Android makes you wait for the subscription to run out. A subscription cannot move between platforms until it expires, and a legacy early-adopter rate is lost by changing interval. The web checkout takes cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Amazon Pay and Cash App but not gift cards, and a subscription lost to a failed payment cannot be reinstated at the old price.

What the refund wording says
Kindroid’s Subscriptions article puts it in three sentences: refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis; the company generally does not offer refunds and all sales are final; and it reserves the right to issue refunds at its discretion. It adds that it reserves the right to permanently ban users who dispute charges. The In-App Purchases article is shorter: refunds are not available for in-app purchases, which covers selfie credits, audio credits and slots. An account terminated for breaking the terms gets no refund for the unused term. Store purchases fall under Apple’s and Google’s own processes. The practical reading: treat every payment as final, cancel before the renewal date rather than after, and keep the trial reminder email. Trustpilot’s small sample of Kindroid reviews (2.3 from 16, as recorded in September 2026) is mostly about this; the App Store’s 4.8 from about 9,000 ratings is mostly not.
Questions people ask
How much does Kindroid cost per month?
$13.99 on the web or $15.99 through the app stores for Standard; $11.67 or $13.33 a month on yearly plans. Ultra adds $24.99 and MAX a further $59.99 on the web.
Is Kindroid cheaper on the web or in the app?
On the web, by $2 a month on Standard, $4 on Ultra, $9 on MAX and $1 to $3 on every credit pack. Kindroid recommends subscribing on the web; the subscription then works in the apps.
Is Kindroid free?
Not since 1 October 2026. New users get 50 messages on the flagship model and a few selfies, then must start a three-day trial with a payment method or subscribe; otherwise the account is read-only.
What do Kindroid Ultra and MAX actually give you?
More memory, not better models: about 1.7 million and 3.5 million characters of context against 790,000 on Standard, more recalled memories, a longer backstory, more audio credits and faster selfie accrual. Each needs the tier below it.
Does Kindroid give refunds?
Rarely. Refunds are case by case, generally not offered and all sales are final; in-app purchases are never refunded, and disputing a charge can get an account banned.
Do Kindroid credits expire?
The monthly audio allowance resets on the first of the month without rollover; purchased audio credits carry over. Selfie credits accrue to a cap. All balances are locked, not deleted, while you are unsubscribed.
