Talkie+ costs $9.99 a month or $49.99 for the first year on the US App Store, with a “Talkie+ Pro” tier at $24.99 a month; the yearly plan is reported to renew at about $95.99. The price appears nowhere on talkie-ai.com, only in the store listings and the in-app paywall. For the money you lose the ads, lift the daily message wall, get longer voice calls and extended chat memory, and receive a monthly gem bonus. Whether it is worth it depends on one question: do you hit the free limit most days? If you do, $9.99 is in line with Character.AI’s c.ai+ and PolyBuzz; if you do not, Talkie’s free tier is one of the more generous in the category, provided you can tolerate the ads and the gacha layer.

The US App Store listing for Talkie Lab shows in-app purchases of $9.99 for one month, $49.99 for one year and $24.99 for Talkie+ Pro, October 2026.
What Talkie+ costs, by region and store
Talkie’s terms describe two programmes: “Free Use”, a no-charge tier the company says is “aimed at users who cannot afford any of our subscription-fee based programs”, and “Talkie+”, which “gives full access to the Services”. Paid plans are sold only inside the iOS and Android apps and billed by Apple or Google, so the price you see is set per store region. The US App Store in-app purchase list for Talkie Lab, SUBSUP’s iOS listing, shows:
1 Month (Talkie+): $9.99
1 Year (Talkie+): $49.99
1 Month Talkie+ Pro: $24.99
Talkie Gems: $1.99, $4.99, $9.99 and $19.99 packs
Talkie+ Plus Coin: $5.99
Gift packs at $0.49 and $1.00
Google Play does not print the figures on the listing page, only “In-app purchases”, but reviewers quote the same $9.99 and $49.99 points on Android, as reported in 2026. Prices in other storefronts follow Apple’s and Google’s regional tiers, so a UK buyer typically sees £9.99 and a eurozone buyer €9.99 for the monthly plan, though we could not confirm every region. Third-party reviews describe the $49.99 yearly price as a first-year promotion that renews at $95.99, and an older pattern of $79.99 first-year offers; Talkie publishes no standard yearly price itself, which is why the Radar profile scores its pricing honesty low.
What Talkie+ unlocks
Talkie’s own documentation is thin. The terms promise “full access”, the website shows an “Unlock with Talkie+” prompt, and the rest comes from the paywall text and reviews. Pulling those together, Talkie+ gives you:
No ads. Free users see video ads of around 40 to 50 seconds, reported at roughly ten-minute intervals during long sessions.
Unlimited or much higher daily messages. The free wall is reported at about 50 messages a day; Talkie+ removes it.
Longer voice calls. Free calls are capped at around two minutes, as reported; Talkie+ extends them.
Extended memory and chat history. The FAQ admits that “AI memory capacity is technically limited, causing older conversations to be forgotten”; Talkie+ is sold with longer context and persistent history, against a reported 60-day window on free accounts.
Monthly gems or coins for card pulls and premium character features, plus priority access to new models and events.
Talkie+ Pro at $24.99 adds higher limits on the same features and faster model access, as reported; Talkie does not publish a Pro feature list. Image generation, which the store description lists among “AI image, video, audio and music” tools, is gated behind a mix of Talkie+ and gems with no published rate card.

Talkie’s FAQ page states that recharges are non-refundable except for system errors and that AI memory is technically limited, October 2026.
Free versus Talkie+
Feature | Free | Talkie+ |
|---|---|---|
Price | $0 | $9.99/month or $49.99 first year (Pro $24.99/month) |
Ads | Video ads, 40 to 50 seconds, as reported | None |
Daily messages | About 50 a day, as reported | Unlimited |
Voice calls | About 2 minutes per call, as reported | Longer calls |
Chat history and memory | Limited; about 60 days of history, as reported | Extended memory, persistent history |
Gems | Earned through daily tasks and events, or bought from $1.99 | Monthly gem bonus plus purchases |
Card pulls and events | Yes, with gems | Yes, with bonus currency |
Image and media creation | Limited, gem-gated | Higher limits; still gem-gated for some tools |
Refunds | n/a | None for partial months; via stores only |
Everything marked “as reported” comes from reviewer accounts in 2026 rather than a Talkie rate card. The company has changed limits before without notice, and the terms reserve the right to do so.
Gems versus the subscription
Talkie runs two currencies alongside the plan, and this is where costs creep up. Gems buy card pulls, event entries and unlocks on premium characters; they are earned slowly through daily tasks and bought quickly in packs from $1.99 to $19.99. Event-limited currencies appear during themed campaigns. The result is a gacha-style loop that reviewers compare to mobile games, and it sits on top of the subscription rather than being replaced by it. A Talkie+ subscriber who chases card sets can easily spend more on gems than on the plan. Gems are non-refundable, the FAQ says, “except in cases of system errors or duplicated transactions”, and they stay on the account if you cancel the subscription.
If your interest is conversation rather than collecting, you can ignore gems entirely. The subscription alone removes the two things that make free Talkie tiresome, the ads and the message wall.
How Talkie+ compares with c.ai+ and PolyBuzz
Character.AI (Radar score 6.8) prices c.ai+ at $9.99 a month or $94.99 a year, with a Lite tier at $4.99 on the US App Store. For the same $9.99 you get no ads, the “best” memory setting with 30 pins, unlimited access to its premium chat styles and a 20% Charms bonus. Character.AI publishes this on its /plus page, which Talkie does not. Where Talkie wins is the free tier: Character.AI’s free plan has slow mode and limited premium models, while Talkie’s free users get the same characters as subscribers, only rationed.
PolyBuzz (Radar score 5.6) is the closest match in spirit: character chat with a lighter touch on moderation, priced at $9.90 a month or $4.99 a week for its Standard plan on the App Store, with coins as a second currency. PolyBuzz’s terms are 18+ and it runs age checks in the UK, which makes it the adult counterpart to Talkie’s 14+ positioning. Neither PolyBuzz nor Talkie refunds unused time.
Against both, Talkie’s distinct draws are the writing quality of its roleplay characters and the card-collecting layer; its distinct drawbacks are the strictest content rules in the directory and an unpublished price. For people who want a published rate card rather than a store listing, the best free apps list flags which services show prices before sign-up.

Character.AI’s public c.ai+ page lists $94.99 a year against a struck-through $119.88 and a Free, Lite and c.ai+ feature grid, October 2026.
Is Talkie+ worth it?
Worth it if: you chat for more than an hour most days and the 50-message wall interrupts you; you use voice and find two-minute calls useless; you run long roleplays and want history kept beyond 60 days; ads are the thing you dislike most. At $9.99 the plan is priced with the market, and the first-year $49.99 deal works out at about $4.17 a month, cheap by companion-app standards.
Not worth it if: you dip in a few times a week and never hit the limit; you want adult or even mildly suggestive content, which Talkie bans outright regardless of plan; you want memory that genuinely persists, where Kindroid (Radar score 7.6) and Nomi (Radar score 6.9) are stronger; or you are uneasy about paying a company that will not print its price. Watch the yearly renewal too: a first-year promotion renewing at roughly double is the single most common complaint in Talkie’s reviews.
Talkie has a Radar score of 5.7: conversation 7, memory 5, media 4, pricing honesty 5 and policy clarity 7. The pricing sub-score is where Talkie+ loses points, not because $9.99 is high but because you have to open a store listing to find it.
